19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks his maiden title since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also means Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's counter-punching strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his capacity to perform at the elite level was concluded.
However the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour championship, took control to create a decider.
Moutet defended four early break points in a close deciding set before the Russian broke to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
